Men armed with baseball bat attacked men in Sheffield shop

A man armed with a baseball bat assaulted two men in a Sheffield shop before smashing the windows.

The attacker struck at Alton’s, a convenience store in London Road, at 10.50pm on Monday, December 28.

He was wearing a white face covering and had his head covered.

The baseball bat he was carrying was silver.

Two men, aged 18 and 19, were arrested but released without charge.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “The two victims were taken to hospital and discharged following treatment for their injuries.

“Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw anything suspicious in the area around that time.”
