This year’s Woodlands May festival kicked off with a parade, leading off from Woodlands Fire Station and continuing on to the All Saints Community Centre and All Saints Church where events carried on throughout the day.

Among the attractions on offer at the festival, which had a medieval theme, were a range of stalls, a fancy dress competition and live entertainment.

The historic event dates back around 100 years but was resurrected 12 years ago in a bid to reignite community spirit in the village.
