Mayor calls emergency Keepmoat Stadium meeting

MAYOR of Doncaster Martin Winter has called an emergency meeting over the future of the Keepmoat Stadium after it was caught selling alcohol to children again.

The meeting, which was due to be held today before the stadium hosts Doncaster Rovers league game with Walsall, was involve Mr Winter, the Stadium Management Company and police.

Alcohol has been banned from sale for today's game.

The meeting comes after the stadium failed a test buying operation. It was not the first time it has been caught selling alcohol to youngsters.

Mr Winter said: "I have called for an emergency meeting of the SMC today, at which I will demand immediate disciplinary action to address the situation.

"It is imperative that the correct expertise is now brought in to manage, maintain and further develop this community facility for the public of Doncaster."
