A matter of life and death
TICKHILL Countryside Group members get their winter programme underway on Thursday, when they weed and maintain their tree nursery at Stoney Brigg Farm.
Planting will start in November to replace trees at Worksop Road, Bagley Farm Drive and Castle Fields at 9.30am, followed by planting of ash and oak at Sheepwash Lane. Maintenance work will be carried out at Jubillee Wood in early spring.
The group’s next meeting takes place at the Travellers Rest, Westgate on Monday, November 5 at 7.30pm.
Chairman Stuart Allen has agreed to give an illustrated talk on flora, fauna and fungi at their December meeting.
