IT PROMISES to be a great night at the dogs on Saturday, November 3.
That is when three special races at Owlerton Satdium will remind punters of a campaign to bring to justice those responsible for the death of a Sheffield teenager on the Greek holiday island of Zante four years ago.
Matthew Cryer, 17, who grew up in Frecheville and Killamarsh, died outside the Cocktails and Dreams nightclub in Laganas after being pushed down stairs by bouncers.
It was his first holiday abroad without his parents.
Ever since his family and friends have campaigned, with support from The Star, for his killers to be brought to Justice.
His family will sponsor three races, the Matt Cryer Memorial Trust, the Kid of Steel Birthday Stakes and the Claire Cawthorne Birthday Stakes.
On the night, Matt’s father, David, will also be making a donation to the Retired Greyhound Trust.
