A mass eviction of 160 Doncaster benefit seekers from their homes has featured in a television documentary.

The programme, Britain's Benefit Tenants, aired by Channel 4 tells the story of specialist letting agents trying to keep private landlords and tenants happy.

The synopsis for the second episode of the new series says: "In South Yorkshire, two landlords rush to the scene of a police raid, where the occupant has turned their property into a large cannabis factory.

"Meanwhile, when the local council holds up their housing benefit claims in Doncaster, an agent decides to evict all of his 160 benefit tenants."

It is not clear when the scenes for the documentary were filmed.
