Markets offer frightening fun

Have your say

THERE promises to be spell-binding family fun at markets in Killamarsh, Eckington and Clay Cross over Halloween.

Spooky street entertainment, face painting, creepy-crawly petting zoos, prize draws and a range of stalls – plus a chance to meet Scooby Doo, the Ghostbusters and Dr Who – are among free attractions. There will also be a fancy dress contest for under-16s,

The markets take place between 9am and 2pm on Thursday at Killamarsh Sports Centre, on Friday, November 2, in Market Street, Eckington, and on Saturday, November 3, in Market Street, Clay Cross.

The events are part of the Marketing the Markets project – launched thanks to £170,000 worth of funding from Bolsover and North East Derbyshire councils.
