Man’s body found in car in Peak District

A man’s body was discovered in a parked car near a Peak District railway over the bank holiday weekend.

Derbyshire police officers closed the B6521, Main Road, between Grindleford Railway Station and Grindleford village itself from 1.45pm on Friday, April 3, after the discovery was made.

The road was reopened a short time later after officers had carried out an investigation at the scene.

They later confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Derbyshire police will not be releasing the identity of the man.
