Man to appear in court after apples thrown at property

A man has charged with criminal damage after apples were thrown at the window of a home near Chesterfield

Police were called to New Street, Grassmoor, on Wednesday, at about 10pm, by a woman who had heard a number of bangs on her window.

She looked out and noticed apples on the ground below, which had left dirty marks on the window.

Local enquiries were carried out and a man was arrested later that evening – Adrian Foster, aged 26, of Chapman Lane, Grassmoor, has been charged with criminal damage and is to appear at Chesterfield Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 18.

A 22-year-old man and a 24 -year-old man, also from Grassmoor, were given fixed penalty notice after they threw apples at a passing cyclist.
