Man suspected of drink driving after crash on Chesterfield road

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a three-vehicle crash on a Chesterfield road.

Police said the crash happened near Ladywood Garage.

Police were called to the collision near Ladywood Garage on Baslow Road at 2.30pm on Thursday.

The smash involved a Vauxhall Insignia, a Mercedes Sprinter van and an Audi A3.

Police said a man was taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital for treatment for minor injuries while another man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Part of the road was closed until about 5.30pm.
