Man suffers life threatening injuries after collision

A 24-year-old man sustained life threatening injuries after as road traffic collision in the early hours of this morning.

And police are now appealing for witnesses following the incident in Brampton Bierlow, Rotherham.

At around 4.50am, a blue Toyota Yaris was traveling along Packman Road towards Brampton Bierlow, when the car is believed to have left the road and was in collision with the banking and trees, before coming to rest back on the road facing in the opposite direction.

The 24-year-old man who was driving sustained life threatening injuries and is currently in hospital. The 30-year-old male passenger sustained minor injuries.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or the vehicle prior to the incident, is asked to contact the police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number 255 of 17 May.
