A man suffered a fractured cheek after he was attacked by two men who pulled up in a car and punched him.
The 21-year-old man was sat on a wall in Ballifield Road, Handsworth, when two men pulled up alongside him in a dark car and punched him.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "Between 10pm and 11pm on Monday, September 19, it is reported that two unidentified men in a dark car, possibly a Fiat Punto, pulled up near to the 21-year-old man, who was sitting on a wall in Ballifield Road, Handsworth.
"The two men are alleged to have assaulted the 21-year-old, punching him in the face, before getting back in the car and driving away.
"The victim suffered a fractured cheek, which required hospital treatment.
"Were you in the area that evening? Did you see the assault or see the dark car driving in the local area?"
