Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed.
The 23-year-old man was walking along Wortley Road in Rotherham, close to St Bede’s Catholic Primary School, when he was approached by two skinny thugs in their early 20s.
One verbally abused him before the second struck him twice in the chest. They then walked off in the direction of Rotherham town centre - and the victim realised he had been stabbed. He suffered a puncture wound which needed stitches.
The knifeman was over 6ft tall with a pointed face and a prominent nose and chin. He and his accomplice, who had defined cheekbones, both had dark hair.
Anyone with information about the attack, in the early hours last Saturday, November 9, should call 101.
