Man shot in Sheffield park discharged from hospital

A man shot in a Sheffield park has been discharged from hospital.

The 22-year-old was shot in Meersbrook Park, Meersbrook, at 6.25pm on Thursday, April 26 by a man who asked him for cash and cigarettes.

He was shot in his neck and the blast shattered his jaw and teeth, leaving him needed a six hour operation for the bullet to be removed and a metal plate to be fitted inside his mouth.

No arrests have yet been made over the shooting.
