Man seriously injured in crash in Sheffield

The 36-year-old was driving a Volkswagen Golf from the Wicker onto Derek Dooley Way when the car left the road and crashed into a signpost.

Emergency services were alerted to the smash at 9.30pm last night.

South Yorkshire Police said the motorist was taken to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital for treatment.
