Man seriously injured after car hits trees in Swinton

Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash in Swinton that has left a man with life-threatening injuries.

A 27-year-old man was injured when the silver Vauxhall Vectra he was driving hit trees at around 4.45am this morning.

The car was travelling along the A663 Warren Vale, from Swinton towards Parkgate, when it left the road around 300 metres from the junction with the B6090 Wentworth Road.

Police said the man remains in a stable condition in hospital and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Witnesses are asked to call 101, quoting incident number 221 of February 8, 2015.
