THE body of a 31-year-old man was discovered at a house in South Yorkshire yesterday morning.
Roads were closed near the property on Sheffield Road, Hoyland, Barnsley, after police officers found the body just after 11am.
Police said the death did not appear to be suspicious.
Officers were initially concerned about a suspicious liquid they found at the house and called in fire crews to secure the area.
The liquid was eventually found to be a harmless substance.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Emergency services attended an address on Sheffield Road, Hoyland, Barnsley at about 11.04am on Tuesday.
“At the address police found the body of 31-year-old man.
“At this time there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
“A cordon was put in place as a precautionary measure.”
