Man rushed to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after being hit by car on Sheffield street

The 42-year-old man was involved in the collision on Savile Street – between Burnreave and Attercliffe – at around 6am.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Emergency services responded to a collision between a pedestrian and a car at around 6am on Saville Street in Sheffield this morning.

“The pedestrian, a 42-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains at this time.

“Officers remain at the scene.”
