A man has been rushed to hospital after a brick fell on his head from a height on a building site.

The worker was injured by falling masonry on a site between Broad Lane and Portobello Street, this morning.

CRIME: Man, aged 29, charged with sexually assaulting on-duty police officer in Sheffield
He has been taken to the Northern General Hospital but details of his condition are not yet known.

POLICE: Man remains in coma and on life support after shooting in Sheffield park
A Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called to Rockingham Street at 10.30am today to reports a brick had fallen on a worker.

"We sent two rapid response vehicles, an ambulance and a hazard area response team to the scene."
