Man rushed to hospital following serious crash at Sheffield Asda

A man has been rushed off to hospital after a van crashed into cars and a trolley shed outside a Sheffield Asda.

The road traffic collision took place at around 1:45 pm on Sunday, February 3. 

The van was driving through the car park at Asda, in Handsworth, when it crashed into cars and a trolley bay.

A passerby was also mowed down by the van and they have now been taken to hospital. 

The roof of the bay was also ripped off in the collision.  

Claire Lynn, who said they witnesses the incident, posted on Facebook: “I came out to find my car was one of the worst affected, but it’s only metal and will fix, I’d really like to know how the poor guy they had to cut out from under the van is doing.”

Emergency services hurried to the scene and are now investigating the incident.
