Man rescued from blazing house in Doncaster fire drama

A man was rescued from a blazing house in Doncaster last night.

Fire crews from Doncaster Fire Station were sent to the blazing propery on Ellis Crescent, Rossington, at 9.50pm last night, and find the property alight.

Three fire crews turned out at the site, with four officers wearing breathing apparatus going into the building.

Police also attended the scene.

One fire officer today confirmed that a man was rescued from the building.

He said: “One adult make was rescued. The man was upstairs and been overcome by smoke.”

The man was carried out of the building by officers in breathing apparatus, and was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary due to smoke inhalation.

It is understood there was only one person in the house and the cause of the fire is not yet known. Crews were at the scene for around an hour an a half.
