A man was today rescued after being trapped in his bedroom in Sheffield for four days.

Police said the elderly gentleman had become stuck after falling.

Officers from Sheffield North West Local Policing Team told how they had worked with other emergency crews to rescue the man on Friday.

They said he was now safe and recovering in hospital.
