A man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Sheffield man Calvin Clarke.

Orrett Duncan, of Harborough Close, Manor, appeared before Sheffield Crown Court yesterday charged with murder as well as possession of an offensive weapon.

The 40-year-old denied both charges and has been remanded in custody pending a trial in June.

Mr Clarke, aged 45, was found with life-threatening injuries in Dixon Lane, close to Snig Hill police station in the city centre, on September 27. He died in hospital four days later.

Mustafa Sulaiman Hamdoon, 18, of St Barnabas Road, Sheffield, and Mark Walker, 18, of Brightmore Drive, Sheffield, deny perverting the course of justice. Walker was bailed and Hamdoon remanded in custody.
