Man in life-threatening condition after collision - appeal

A police investigation has been launched after a 22-year-old man suffered head injuries following a collision.

At about 7.25pm on February 29, the man was involved in a collision with a Peugeot 406 which was pulling a single axle trailer.

The collision happened on Beever Street in Goldthorpe, Barnsley.

The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drink and drug driving offences. He remains in custody being questioned.

Witnesses to the collision are asked to call 101 quoting incident number 1158 of 29 February 2016.
