Man in life-threatening condition after car and lorry smash

A 28-year-old man is in life-threatening condition following a collision between a car and lorry.

The incident happened at around 2.05pm on Friday (October 3) when a white Vauxhall Corsa was travelling along the A18 Tudworth Road from the village of Hatfield towards the M180.

Around 200m from Sandtoft Road, it is believed that the Corsa was in collision with a white Mercedes LGV lorry, which was travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Corsa, a 28-year-old man, has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A passenger in the Corsa, a 22-year-old man, has also been taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
