Man hospitalised after being shot in leg in Parson Cross

A man aged 21 is in hospital after being shot in the leg in Sheffield last night.

Police say the victim, a 21-year-old Sheffield man, suffered a single gunshot wound to the leg in Doe Royd Crescent, Parson Cross, between 10.30pm and 11pm.

The injury is not life-threatening and he is currently in hospital in a stable condition.

Police have been carrying out enquiries at the scene today and are reviewing CCTV footage.

High visibility patrols are also being carried out in the area with officers conducting house-to-house visits as part of the inquiry.

No arrests have yet been made and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
