Man in hospital after falling ill in Doncaster pub

A man has been taken to hospital this afternoon after falling ill in a town centre pub.

An ambulance and a rapid response vehicle were outside the Old Angel, Cleveland Street, shortly after 1pm.

Staff said a man had suffered a ‘funny turn’.

A spokesman for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 1.04pm after reports that a man in his 60s had been taken ill. We sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance. The man was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary.”
