Man in hospital after being stabbed on Sheffield street

A man is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital after being stabbed in the early hours of the morning.

Police responded to reports that a man had been attacked on Manor Park Way, Manor, around 2am on Saturday.

Upon arrival, a 29-year-old man was found with a suspected stab wound to his torso. He was taken to hospital where he remains.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

“Were you in the Manor Park Way area this morning? Did you witness the assault?”
