A MAN has been left with life-threatening injuries after been hit by a bus.
The collision happened on Furnival Gate in Sheffield at around 4.15pm today.
Traffic tailed back through the city as the road, on one of the main routes through the city, was closed on one side and taped off during rush hour.
A Stagecoach 83 service was stood on the street with a blood stain on the road front of it.
Insp Pete Serhatlic, who was in charge at the scene, said the man involved in the collision had been left with ‘life-threatening’ injuries.
He appealed for witnesses, adding: “There has been a serious collision between a bus and a pedestrian.”
Buses were diverted down Eyre Street.
The man was taken to Northern General hospital.
