Man found with serious head injury in Doncaster town centre

The 32-year-old was found in High Street, close to Baxtergate, at 6am.

He was rushed to hospital, where he is in a stable condition.

An investigation is now underway to establish how he sustained his injury.

A police cordon was put in place around the spot where he was found and it was examined by crime scene investigators earlier this morning.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Enquiries are continuing after a 32-year-old man was found with a serious head injury on High Street in Doncaster.

"Officers responded to the incident after it was reported at 6am this morning.

"The man was taken to hospital, where his condition is described as stable."
