Man fighting for life after crash in Sheffield

A motorcyclist is fighting for life after a collision with a car in Sheffield.

The 20-year-old man, who was riding a black Superbyke, was involved in a crash in Parson Cross, on Friday, December 1.

South Yorkshire Police said that at around 8.05pm the motorbike and a silver Vauxhall Mokka collided at the junction of Wordsworth Avenue and Southey Hill..

It is believed that the motorbike had been travelling along Wordsworth Avenue towards Herries Road when it was involved in a collision with the car as it was travelling in the opposite direction and turning onto Southey Hill.

The biker suffered a life threatening head injury and remains in hospital.

Witnesses should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
