Man fighting for life after stabbing in Sheffield now in 'stable' condition

A man left fighting for life after being stabbed in a Sheffield street is now in a stable condition.

The 30-year-old was attacked in Batemoor Place, Batemoor, at around 12.25pm on Tuesday.

He then made his way, injured, to Batemoor Close, where he was found.

South Yorkshire Police said he was chased by two black men before being stabbed.

No arrests have yet been made.

Detective Sergeant Jamie Henderson, leading the hunt for the men, said the stabbing is being treated as a 'targeted attack'.
