A man who raped and sexually abused children in South Yorkshire faces jail today.

A man who raped and sexually abused children in South Yorkshire faces jail today.

Corie Adams, aged 18, attacked seven Rotherham girls, aged between 12 and 14, between January 2015 and early 2016.

During hearings at Sheffield Crown Court, Adams, from Maltby, Rotherham, admitted a string of offences including rape, grooming, sexual activity with a child, causing a child to engage in sexual activity, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and causing a child to watch a sexual act.

Detective Inspector John Fitzgibbons, who investigated Adams, described his offending as ‘prolific and incredibly shocking’ and suggested that there may be more victims.

So far no other youngsters have come forward, according to South Yorkshire Police.
