A man escaped with minor injuries after he was struck by a car in Sheffield.

The pedestrian, aged in his 20s, was involved in a collision with a car on Chesterfield Road at the junction with Abbey Lane, Woodseats, at around 5.15pm on New Year's Eve.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident, which blocked the road temporarily.
