A man is due to appear in court today accused of four robberies.

Byron Dearnley, aged 33, is accused of an armed robbery at Betfred in Northern Avenue, Arbourthorne, last Thursday, along with robberies of two cashpoint users at City Road, Manor Top and the robbery of a 65-year-old man in his home in Errington Crescent, Arbourthorne.

He is also accused of theft after allegedly targeting a woman using a cashpoint at Martin's convenience store on Northern Avenue, Arbourthorme, on the same day as the betting shop raid.

Dearnley, of no fixed abode, has been charged with a total of four robberies, one assault, two thefts and three counts of possessing a bladed article in total.
