Man charged over attack which left South Yorkshire police officer seriously injured
A man has been charged over an attack on a police officer in Barnsley.
Casey Kevin Green, aged 21, of Northorpe, Gilroyd, appeared before Barnsley magistrates yesterday accused of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
He is alleged to have attacked a female police officer in Doncaster Road, Darfield, at around 7.25pm on Friday, July 15.
The 45-year-old woman suffered serious hand injuries that required hospital treatment.
