Man charged for firing air gun in Rotherham

A 22-year-old man has been charged after an air gun was fired in Rotherham.

Thomas Anthony Whiting, of Old School Lane, Catcliffe, will appear before Rotherham Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, April charged with a racially aggravated public order offence and an offence of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.

Police were called at around 4pm on Wednesday, March 11, following reports a shot had been fired in Old School Lane, Catcliffe.

Nobody was injured during the incident and an air weapon was recovered.
