Man charged after Sheffield shooting damaged house and cars

A 27-year-old man has been charged with a firearms offence after gunshots damaged two cars and a house window in Sheffield

Donovan Chalmers, of Miles Road, High Green, has been remanded into custody and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Friday September 11 charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Three women, aged 21, 27 and 41, remain in police custody alongside a 40-year-old man.

At around 6pm on Saturday September 5, a member of the public reported hearing five to six loud bangs in the area of Firshill Crescent.

Police recovered two firearms and bullets.

Three men, aged 21, 22 and 28, who were also arrested as part of the investigation, have been bailed pending further enquiries.
