A man who fired a gun at a house in Doncaster was captured on CCTV.

The gunman struck in Acacia Road, Cantley, at around 3.05am on Sunday, July 1 after cycling to the property.

He fired two shots towards the house from the garden, which damaged a downstairs window.

Nobody in the property was hurt.

The man then made off towards Everingham Road.

Detective Constable Craig Benn, of South Yorkshire Police, said: "At this time, we are treating this incident as targeted and as our enquiries continue I’d like to ask for anyone with information to come forward, and in particular anyone who thinks they may recognise the man in the images.

"While I appreciate his face is not clearly visible, you may recognise the bike, or have seen someone riding a bike in the area earlier that evening or in the early hours of the morning.

"Any information, even if it may seem insignificant to you, could prove vital in helping us to identify the man in these images who we need to speak to in connection to what happened."
