Man attacked in Barnsley park
Police officers are hunting a group of men over an attack in a Barnsley park.
They struck in Brunswick Close, Smithies, on Saturday night - leaving their 42-year-old victim with minor facial injuries.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Sometime between 9.45pm and 10.05pm, the victim is said to have been walking through a park in Brunswick Close when he was approached by a group of men unknown to him.

Hide Ad“It is then believed that the alleged offenders threatened the man before assaulting him.
“The man suffered minor facial injuries as a result of the incident.
“The group of men are described as wearing dark clothing and hooded tops.
“Did you witness the incident? Did you see anything suspicious in the area around that time?”
