British Transport Police officers boarded a train at 3.50pm yesterday and arrested a passenger on suspicion of communicating false information.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Our officers were called to Sheffield rail station on Sunday, November 13 at 3.47pm to concerns from a passenger about a man acting suspiciously on board a train at the station.
“Officers met the service and a man was arrested under suspicion of communicating false information. He was interviewed and no further action taken against him.”
