Man arrested in road smash

A DRIVER was arrested after a five-vehicle collision, including two police cars, on the Sheffield Parkway.

A 37-year-old Doncaster man who was behidn the wheel of a Chevrolet Kalos, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after what police believe to have been a ‘road rage incident’ on the out-of-town carriageway.

A police spokesman said the Chevrolet undertook a blue Toyota Prius before pulling across its path and braking, resulting in a collision between the two cars.

Two police cars, a blue Ford Focus and a white Ford Fiesta, stopped behind the site of the collision, but a black Mazda MX5 then hit the back of the police Fiesta. Two policemen in the Fiesta suffered whiplash injuries but did not require hospital treatment.
