A man in his twenties has been arrested after gunshots were fired on a Sheffield street.

Police were called to Sedan Street, Pitsmoor, at around 2.40pm on Wednesday following reports of shots being fired.

No one was injured during the incident but a 24-year-old man was arrested.

People living nearby reported hearing shots being fired and said police had been in the area into the early evening.

In August, police were called to reports of a gun being fired on the nearby Brunswick Road and Andover Street.
