Man arrested after attack
A THIRD man has been arrested in connection with an alleged attack on a homeless man in Doncaster after tip-offs from the public.
The 20-year-old from Mexborough is being questioned about the assault on a man who was sleeping in a tent under St George’s Bridge on the evening of Tuesday August 28.
Two other men have already been detained by police following the incident in which the victim suffered a serious head injury after he was allegedly hit with a glass bottle.
The attack was publicised by The Star and several people called police with information about the suspect.
