Man and woman arrested after crash during police chase in Sheffield and Rotherham

A man and woman have been arrested after a police chase through Sheffield and Rotherham this morning.

Officers were following a silver Audi A4 Sport for around 25 minutes when it struck a parked car in Dyke Vale Road, Hackenthorpe, Sheffield, at 4.45am.

Three other cars and the police car involved in the pursuit were also struck by the Audi.

The road is closed near to the junction with Silkstone Road while enquiries are carried out.

The driver of the Audi and a passenger were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop and theft.
