Man ambushed by gang at cash machine in Rotherham suburb
A man was ambushed by a gang of up to 10 men as he used a cash machine in Rotherham.
The 22-year-old was approached by between eight and 10 men as he used a cash machine on High Street, Swallownest, at 9.30pm on Saturday, April 7.
South Yorkshire Police said the men, who wore dark clothing and face coverings, threatened the victim before punching and kicking him after he withdrew cash from an ATM.
They stole his bag and fled in the direction of Swallownest Co-op, leaving the victim with facial injuries.
