A 27-year-old Doncaster man has been charged with taking wild birds from Conisbrough Castle earlier this summer.

Associate Prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service Karen Mann said: “Jason Frost appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with criminal damage and taking a wild bird on June 13 from Conisbrough Castle.

“The defendant has denied both charges and will appear before Doncaster Magistrates for trial on November 18 accused of stealing the nesting kestrels from an upper window ledge at the castle.”
