SHEFFIELD’S NHS Walk-In Centre on Broad Lane is supporting Blue September - a national campaign to raise awareness of male cancers - and encouraging male patients to visit for a free check.
Men are 40 per cent more likely to die from cancer than women, due to a tendency to put off visiting a doctor.
Christian Ellwood from the centre said: “We urge all our male patients to be more aware of the danger signs and symptoms for which they should seek medical advice.’
The centre is open from 8am until 10pm, every day. Call reception on 0114 241 2700.
