Make a Will and support Bluebell Woods Hospice

Have your say

Support Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice this month - by making your will.

As part of ‘Make a Will Month,’ Buchanan & Co, which has offices in Kiveton Park and Staveley, are offering to make a Single Will, for £95, or a Mirror Will, for £150, and donate their entire fee to Bluebell Wood.

The company did the same thing back in May, donating over £1,600 to Bluebell Wood using the same offer, and have raised nearly £1 million in potential bequests.

Julie Booth, trust and legacy fundraiser at Bluebell Wood, said: “Over half the population of the UK does not have any kind of Will in place, yet we all know how important it is to make one.

“It’s recommended you update your Will every five years or when major life events happen such as getting married or divorced, having a baby or adopting a child, moving house and becoming grandparents. Not many people realise getting married can automatically invalidate your Will so any special bequests you had won’t be honoured.

“By making a Will, you’ll be protecting your own family’s future, and helping the families supported by Bluebell Wood every day.

“We are really grateful to Buchanan & Co. for their continued support. They have already raised thousands of pounds for us in donations and almost a million pounds in potential bequests.”

A basic Will can include funeral wishes, appointing guardians for your children, simple bequests and a gift to a chosen charity.

Alex Gibbons, estate planner and paralegal at Buchanan & Co said: “We are very pleased to be associated with Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice as they have become very close to our team’s heart in the fabulous work that they do for the children and young people when in need.”
