Major Sheffield road to close this week for overnight resurfacing work

London Road, just south of the city centre, will be shut between the junctions of Woodhead Road and Queens Road from 7pm-7am each day between this Thursday evening and the morning of next Wednesday, May 2.

* Service 20 towards Ecclesfield to operate as normal to London Road at the junction of Queens Road then divert via Queens Road, Shoreham Street, Bramall Lane, St Mary’s Roundabout and Eyre Street before resuming normal route at the junction of Cumberland Street

* Service 20 towards Hemsworth to operate as normal to Cumberland Street at the junction of South Lane then divert via Cumberland Street, St Mary’s Roundabout, Bramall Lane, Alderson Road, Shoreham Street and Queens Road before resuming normal route at the junction of London Road

* Services 75 towards Jordanthorpe and 76 towards Lowedges to operate as normal to Cumberland Street at the junction of South Lane then divert via Cumberland Street, St Mary’s Roundabout, Bramall Lane, Alderson Road, Shoreham Street, Queens Road and Wolseley Road before resuming normal route on Abbeydale Road

* Services 97 and 98 towards Hillsborough to operate as normal to Abbeydale Road at the junction of Wolseley Road then divert via Wolseley Road, Queens Road, Shoreham Street, Bramall Lane, St Mary’s Roundabout and Eyre Street before resuming normal route at the junction of Cumberland Street

* Services 97 towards Totley and 98 towards Totley Brook to operate as normal to Cumberland Street at the junction of South Lane then divert via Cumberland Street, St Mary’s Roundabout, Bramall Lane, Alderson Road, Shoreham Street, Queens Road and Wolseley Road before resuming normal route on Abbeydale Road.
